working days countdown…

my last words emailed out to my dept colleagues, before goin on leave ..

Hi guys..

I’m supposed to be starting my leave on Wednesday, but feeling quite restless now,

I have to run a few more checkups before edd , which is on Friday 31st.. so I figured to taking a day earlier just to have a little bit more of rest.

I don’t know how to start…sighs, when I get back a few of you will not be here anymore, I’m already feeling the lost even now.. it’s really sad to loose such great colleagues, shared lots of happy times and work as a team or more like a family.. though I haven’t been here long as long as the seniors but the bonding is just unbelievable, I’ve never felt this way from my previous companies..

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you..

Guna was the first one who made we felt welcome to the dept, tho many say he looks like a bouncer and scared of him, I found him a very pleasant and funny guy.. mebbe becos we are under the same sign I guess? I don’t know.. Guna is a perfect example of what ppl say don’t judge a book by its cover, cos he may seem like he don’t give a shit but deep down inside he’s a very nice guy with a great heart..

Eunice, when I first met her, I bet she must be a smart n bright girl since small, the way she carries herself.. a smart girl yet humble.. nice to everyone.. Always so kind to give help and guidance.. Thanks a lot for the rides dear and for sharing stories and for the thoughtful advices, I appreciate it a lot..

June, what can I say about u, well.. first thing first.. the accent.. J love it! Such a sweet and caring person.. still remember the first thing we shared about was our prob, migraine.. she’s very helpful and hardworking person, and does her works very efficiently.. I admire the way she can deal with ppl..

Aziz, my teammate for nearly 2 years, a great team mate indeed, always ready to offer a helping hand, although he has his moodswings at times but he’s always there.. Sorry ziz, if sometimes my leaves come to a burden to you, but its not done intentionally, I didn’t wish for all these to happen, ofcos I had always prayed for a smooth sailing journey of balance of work, family and study, but when its all crashed up into each other, I had to handle one thing at a time.. it hasn’t been easy for me either..i hope you understand. Thank you so much dude!

Yom, I guess everybody knows who yom is.. no need of an intro there.. a very interesting one.. an the words he comes up with, ahaha, I sometimes have to read the lines 2-3 times to understand it.. was lunch buddies during the early days..

Berenice, woman with great talent and charisma.. yet no signs of arrogance or wut so ever, a really sweet and lovely person.. have always admired her..

Josh, Eunice’s sparring partner.. such a nice guy.. Always so nice to help me with cutting, changing tickets n etc.. N he gives very interesting and funny speeches too..

Muz, hmm, toastmasters? Hehe.. well this man has inspired me too in words I cant explain… a good mentor and manager I must say.. I’ve passed ur daughter’s present to Kakak yea, hope she’ll like it.. Thanks for inviting and sorry we couldn’t make it..

Linda, a fun loving girl, I guess as you all know linda is the closest one to me in the dept, we’ve worked together in a number of freelance jobs, shared a lot of stories together.. she’s just adorable and yea, not to forget fashionable.. love you babe! Thanks for everything..

Kenny, what can I say, I guess we haven’t been able to see eye to eye and always disagree in things.. maybe bcos our working style is different.. its partly my fault I guess, sighs.. well, as ppl say what doesn’t kill you only makes you stronger right? but ofcos there’s a good side to him too..
anyways, Thank you for all the guidance and things you have thought me and also for making me much stronger now.. I do appreciate that..

Kak, the “kakak” of our dept, who doesn’t love her right? Such a lovable and sweet person, always there to lend a helping hand and ears.. so nice to everyone.. very very hardworking and dedicated to work.. and perfectionist! There’s a lot of things that I could say about her, but I guess ill take forever then.. All in all, you’ve been so wonderful to me, I just can thank you enough.. thank you for the bottom of my heart..

Val.. one of the nicest person and manager I have known.. always with the lovely smile no matter how bad things are hitting her. Always putting others before her.. Working under you was one of the great moments I had.. after the restructuring, I could feel the hit the first day itself, it was just depressing.. thanks for all the things u’ve done for me, and all the words of wisdom.. you’re my inspiration. An angel..

Wei Hoong, the best boss I have ever had indeed! The lost is just unbareble..

Heartfelt gratitude and thank you to all of you! It has been my utmost pleasure working with you guys. We went through a lot together and learnt much about each other… sorry if I’ve hurt any of you in any possible manner. I wish you the best in your future undertakings..

I hope things will go well with my labour and delivery.. surely will miss many of you..

What an touching ‘speech’…reckon this is your Toastmasters ice-breaker! …a job well done too…heheheh.

I am honoured to be seen so highly by you. It is indeed rare to develop deep frenship with colleagues, and seriously i understand the emotional journey to break away from it all. In fact, it is still something I am grappling with. =)
But you know what, no matter the sh*ts we go thru, I am always grateful for the frenship that has developed for it is something that lasts. We didn’t work long together, you and I…but let me say that your arrival to dept was a welcomed breath of fresh air! You already know I was having probs with Kenny and his ideas of creativity (!!) … so imagine my delight when I had another designer to depend on for creative ideas hahaha. And creative you were! …even when I was not able to give you much direction heheh.

Change is a major pain, but let it not discourage you from keeping us informed with what’s going on in your life. You are about to welcome another miracle into your life, so don’t feel so sad. Instead, look on the past and future with joy. Just as your life was enriched by us, we too have been enriched by you.
